ChiSec is generally the third Thursday of every month some time around 18:30. We stay until people get tired of hanging out.
That seems to be about 3 hours.
ChiSec was started in 2006 to fill a gap, back when there was only ISSA or 2621. Over the years, we have stumbled but the Chicago security community has continued to thrive through meetups like BurbSec. ChiSec is smaller, less formal and the average age of participants is not a number to be shared in polite company.
